Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of needgetsms.com (“NeedGetSMS”, “the service”, “we”). By accessing or using the service you agree to these Terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Description of the service

NeedGetSMS provides web access to shared, public temporary phone numbers that can receive SMS messages through a public inbox. The service is intended for legitimate, non-sensitive testing and privacy-conscious use where temporary numbers are permitted by the relevant third-party service and by applicable law.

2. Shared and public inboxes

Numbers are shared. Messages received by a number may be visible to any visitor who opens the same inbox. You must not send or expect any confidential, private, financial, government, healthcare, or security-critical information to a shared number. We filter and redact sensitive content where technically possible, but you should assume that anything sent to a shared number is public.

3. Prohibited uses

You may not use the service to access another person's account; bypass authentication, identity checks, or anti-abuse systems; operate multiple accounts in violation of another service's rules; access banking, financial, government, healthcare, or employment services; receive password-reset or account-recovery messages; conduct fraud, impersonation, harassment, spam, or phishing; or violate any applicable law. 4. Third-party services

The numbers receive messages sent by other companies (for example social networks or app providers). You are responsible for complying with those services' own terms. We do not control, and are not affiliated with, any such third-party service. We do not guarantee that any specific service will accept a shared number.

5. Message retention and deletion

Public inbox messages are displayed for a short retention window (up to 24 hours) and are then discarded from our application cache. We do not maintain searchable archives of old messages. Contact-form and abuse-report submissions are retained for up to 12 months. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Content moderation and removal

We may filter, redact, remove, block, or report content and activity that appears to violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. We are not obliged to monitor every message, but we act on reports and on automated signals.

7. Availability and carrier limitations

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Availability, delivery time, and message visibility depend on carriers, number providers, third-party services, and system status. We do not guarantee that any number will be available, that any message will be delivered, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Intellectual property and submissions

The site design, code, and original editorial content belong to NeedGetSMS or its licensors. Messages received by shared numbers are third-party content; you grant us only the limited rights needed to display, filter, and moderate them as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

9. Abuse and legal requests

Reports of misuse can be filed on the Report Abuse page. We may preserve or disclose data where required by law or to protect the service, its users, or the public.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service (in whole or for specific numbers or activity) at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required to protect the service or comply with the law.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeedGetSMS and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or account access, arising from your use of the service or reliance on any message, number, or content displayed on it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. NeedGetSMS is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, or any other brand whose name may appear in a message shown in a public inbox; such names belong to their respective owners and appear only to describe the sender of a message.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
